Report December - Mechatronics
We said goodbye to one more month, one more year. In the last days of 2017, our University event "i-Campus Day" took place, many students participated and it had an amazing atmosphere. The synergy of all those different cultures and people was worth seeing. At the end of the day, India was the winner with hundred and forty-one food vouchers sold.
This month, we also had our first instruction in general safety regulations for our laboratory lectures, which will take place in next semesters. We have been informed about do's and don'ts for those experiments, which I am really looking forward to participating. We attended our last lectures before Christmas break; and with the starting of the break, many of my friends went back to their home country to spend their holidays. I spent my time with studying for upcoming exams, doing sports and hanging around with my friends, who also stayed in Schweinfurt.
The Christmas Market "Weihnachtsmarkt" of Schweinfurt was really enjoyable for us to feel the Christmas spirit in the town. Special drinks and food were served and there were great decorations. The only bad part about it was being a little empty because of the population. Anyways, it had a memorable ambiance, which made us have some fun during our free time.
In the last day of the year, everyone was setting off many different kinds of fireworks, and having fun in the streets. Also, we were outside to watch those "Amateur fireworks". In the New Year's Eve, I went to Würzburg with my friends to spend the night and celebrate. It was my first New Year's Eve abroad, we count down on the famous bridge of Würzburg "Alte Mainbrücke" and watched the fireworks over the Main River wıth hundreds of people. It was an unforgettable memory for me.
This year we left behind, brought me a new home, new friends, a brand new life. With all those recollections of 2017 in my mind, I hope 2018 will bring us happiness.
