Lecturer Mobility Outgoing

If you are a full-time lecturer at FHWS and wish to actively support teaching at one of our partner universities, the International Office can help you to organise a short-term visiting lectureship.

Either within the scope of the Erasmus+ staff mobility for teaching assignments (STA) programme that allows you to teach at one of our European partner universities (EU member states as well as Iceland, Liechtenstein, Macedonia, Norway, and Turkey). Or as part of a bilateral cooperation agreement with a whole host of non-European cooperation partners.

For details of the current FHWS partner universities at which lecturer mobility is possible, please use the MoveOn search engine (German only) to look for partner universities. For a short-term visiting lectureship at one of our European partner universities, please select Dozentenmobilität EU from the list of programmes before clicking on "Suchen".

The aim of lecturer mobility is to reinforce the international dimension of the host university, enrich the teaching offerings there, and facilitate the exchange of specialist knowledge on the international level. To be eligible for funding, a lectureship must therefore comprise at least eight teaching hours within a minimum of two consecutive days and be entirely integrated into regular teaching at the host institution.

The mobility funding provided by the EU within the scope of the Erasmus+ STA programme is seen as a contribution to cover the costs arising from teaching abroad. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that all travel costs will be covered. Moreover, parallel funding from other EU programmes as well as subsidization of conference or congress travels are not possible.

The Erasmus+ mobility funding doesn’t provide any insurance coverage. Participants need to inform themselves about sufficient insurance coverage abroad early. Basic coverage might be provided by the national health insurance or additional private insurances of the participant. However, the coverage may not be sufficient, especially in case of repatriation, specific medical intervention or regarding sufficient protection during pandemics.

Please submit an individual enquiry regarding the conditions for staff mobility at one of our non-European partner universities.

We have compiled the details of the most important steps in the application procedure in the section on staff mobility for teaching assignments (STA).
